Spiritual Life Committee
The Spiritual Life Committee is dedicated to the spiritual growth of the members of All Saints beyond the liturgy of the Mass. Members of the committee can be involved in any number of projects or groups.
For complete details about participating in the Spiritual Life Committee, please contact the parish office.
Liturgy of the Hours
Morning and Evening Prayer is offered 15 minutes before daily Mass, Monday – Saturday, during Advent and Lent. These very special prayers are the same prayers our clergy have said for hundreds of years.
Eucharistic Adoration
Adoration is celebrated during every First Friday. Participants give one hour of their time by offering prayer and adoration in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. St. Alphonsus Liguori wrote of Adoration, “Of all devotions, that of adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the greatest after the sacraments, the one dearest to God and the one most helpful to us.”
Stations of the Cross
Every Friday during lent, the Stations are led by various parish groups. A light supper is offered in the Parish Hall before Stations begin.
Missions and Retreats
All Saints offers parishioners the chance to enjoy a mission or spiritual retreat once or twice each year. Speakers have delighted members with sometimes funny, sometimes poignant view of life as a Catholic or life in general. They’ve led us to new ways of thinking about our prayer life or have provided educational information about our faith.
Communion to Hospitals
When parishioners are admitted to a local hospital, All Saints volunteers will bring the Holy Eucharist to the hospital. Volunteers for this meaningful ministry are always needed and welcomed. If you need to request a hospital visit for communion, or if you wish to learn more about this ministry, please call or E-mail the church office.
Communion to Shut-in
Parish volunteers visit homebound parishioners each week to bring the Holy Eucharist into their homes. If you or a loved one would like to be included on the list of homebound parishioners, please contact All Saints. Time commitments to this ministry are flexible and volunteers are always needed.
Prayer Blankets
These special creations are handmade for those who are seriously ill. The blankets are blessed by our priests and prayed over by members of the parish. They serve as reminders that Jesus and the community are united with the recipient in their time of need.
Rosary Group
Members of this group say the rosary and Divine Chaplet after every daily Mass, Monday – Saturday. Prayer cards and rosaries are provided.
Military Prayer Groups
These parishioners provide support for those who have family or close friends serving in the military. Support is offered through the sharing of special Masses, social events and prayer activities.
Prayer Chain
Parishioners on the Prayer Chain pray for those in need. Let any member know if you are or a loved one is experiencing health or other problems and would like to be included in our prayers.
Statue of the Blessed Mother
A statue is available to visit All Saints families for one week each visit. Included with the statue are information on the Blessed Mother and the rosary and a children’s video on the miracle at Fatima. The statue can be displayed alone or on a small home altar. Many families enjoy praying the rosary together and sharing family prayers during her stay.
Saints of the Month
Each month, new saints are displayed in the narthex of the church – two saints whose feast days are celebrated within the month. Information provided includes pictures of the saints, a brief biography, significant dates and patronage.
